“I knew this was going to happen. Now you’re scared of me, too.” He tips his head back and laughs bitterly at the midnight sky. “What was I thinking – that you would be different from everyone else?”

Nathan Evans is an eighteen year old boy, who doesn't live the ordinary life of a teenager. He is an outcast at school and at home: a "loser", a "nobody", an "emo". All because of one mistake, Nathan has lost his friends, his family, and his identity.

Allie Pierce is a seventeen year old girl, who has just moved into town. Living the perfect life: she has the perfect look, a great personality, and a caring family. But Allie has a secret, too; one that she will do anything to hide and forget.

What happens if a twist of fate makes these two different individuals meet on several occasions? What if fate determines that these two people - so contrasting, yet so similar - should be together?
