Dave knew people in love often kissed and said sweet words to each other in night's cover, but it wasn't like that. There was kissing, but Dave found himself just around him. The comfort, the trust and healing that came from Karkat that he never expected. Dave knew not everything can be fixed- he hated that with all his power he can't take it all away, but there was no doubt that Karkat was happier. That's all that mattered.
