. : Book One : . Melody is a member of one of the five tribes of animal shapeshifters who live beyond the human domain. These people have the ability to shapeshift into particular animals when they come of age in their tribe, attending something called the Ceremony. When given the chance to escape from her family, she jumps for it, spiraling into a world of mystery, danger, and unexpected surprises. But unknown to her, the spirits of the underworld have broken loose, and are tracking her every step. Why they want her, she has yet to know. But she will soon. Friends become enemies and families are reunited only to be broken apart. Whether she survives will be up to her companions as they race to right a world that has fallen drastically out of balance. * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * A haze darkened the edges of my vision and my knees buckled. This was too much, way too much. In half a day, my life had been turned upside down. Just as I was about to fall, the raven transformed into a boy and caught me. The bird had just turned into a boy. What the heck? What was an Avian doing on Lupine territory? * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * After much debate, I decided to discontinue this second book and series. I love the world and I built and the characters with all my heart but the writing is incredibly outdated and the plot progression is all over the place. I may reuse these characters in the future, but this series has come to an end. MAN IT IS GOOD TO SEE THIS AGAIN. This is a story I wrote in high school and added onto the entire four years. It was hand written by me, hand edited on paper (both to my sega genesis playing the sonic 2 boss music) then transferred to comp, for the second edit, and even then it's still edgy garbage :'). Posting it because man I love this story, it was my first real one and peeps got excited for the "weekly" post of this I made on facebook. Dr Dashow has been run out of town, and in his old age he seeks to replicate the formula for life itself! He creates two creatures of pure shadow, as they grow distraught and leave causing havoc. Warning: Contains edge and death and murder or whatever. Written by a loner in high school who had no idea that periods could replace commas. Lmao. Grammatical errors abound. Also just noticed the spaces, it's spaced like that because in order to share it I had to limit my characters. It's too much of a bother to do it for EVERYTHING but just know that they are not new paragraphs, simply just cuts.Complete

Lucy Parker Your average eighteen-year-old girl right? Wrong. When Lucy was eleven she shifted into a huge red fox. When she shifted she got this 'voice' in her head called Faith, that said she was her 'inner fox'. Over the years Lucy started shifting into other animals, from birds to cats, big and small, to wolves, small rodents, and much more. Lucy has been an orphan since she was ten when her parents died in a car crash. She is now eighteen with her own apartment and is about to start a new job but nothing ever turns out right for Lucy now does it? When Lucy is walking in the park one evening, she is kidnapped by three guys, that just won't let her go... *Some inserts not entire chapter* *They were chasing me but I was nearly in the forest when something tackled me sending sparks flying wherever they touched me. When I realised it was... Xavier? Who tackled me, I started to struggle in his hold, but I couldn't get out. "Calm down I'm not going to hurt you." He said softly with a small smile. I snorted, that's what they all say. "No, you're not, but I'm going to hurt you." I replied before bringing up my leg and kicking him where the sun doesn't shine. This caused him to roll off of me and I jumped up. so quick I nearly missed it, Xavier stepped forward and grabbed me so my back was pressed against his chest and his arms were holding my arms by my sides. I struggled, but that's when I realised, I'm too short to ram my head into his chin, my arms were held down and my legs completely useless. I. Was. this is the new one, don't read the one one it's bad. btw pretty much everything is the same except thanks to simon (i'm adding the nightmare critters btw), i made crafty back into a unicorn and I plan to touch on that more. also the story will just be better thought out because I'm not just making it up as I go (what i mean is i was making new plot points without making an effort for them to flow smoothly into the previous ones in the last one, which is something i won't do here since i have a timeline for the story set in my head.) I also wrote out all the unnecessary characters, so now it's just the critters + anyone important to the story (say Godfrey, Elliot, Andy etc.) with all that mumbo jumbo out of the way, i hope you enjoy the new and improved smiling critters story :D
