The Soul family betrayed the Johto region; they are filthy fugitives and nothing more. To think they'd willingly house the notorious murderer, Gold Heart, was heartbreaking to the king. They deserved the death they faced, and Gold Heart deserved to be framed by the royal guards that killed them.

Just knowing one boy under the Soul name escaped and is running free was disgusting. He was running free with a murdered doing who knows what.

It was their fault that Johto was at war, that there was now East and West Johto marked by a distinct border. Now they and anyone who formed an alliance with them was a criminal sentenced to death.
