Alex is in the US army. He has been in Iraq for 2 years. And feels horrified by the injustice and cruelty the Iraqis are facing. Lonely and fed up his life changes after an incident that leaves him shaken and guilty. Zahra is an Muslim girl living in a country once beautiful and safe but now inflicted with the tragic and gruesome events of war. Her life changes one fateful night when Alex saves her. Alex and Zahra go through a life altering experience of love, war and friendship in a torn land.
