When Aster was young, she did not like her name. She was named after an Aster flower. A graceful, perfect, beautiful and enchanting flower. She felt that her name did not suit her. People would compare and judge her because she was the total opposite of her name. She was not graceful nor perfect nor beautiful nor enchanting. At least that's what she thought.
But one fateful day, she met Ivan. "I think you're beautiful just like your name. Just like the flower. You're enchanting. That's what lead me to you." And when he smiled, her whole world changed. Her heart started beating so quickly. Everything seemed to shine. Everything seemed to move in slow motion. She felt her temperature rising all of a sudden. What was this sensation?
Aster and Ivan became the best of friends. They played together everyday and did almost everything together. Their feelings seemed to grow deeper each day until Ivan and his family had to leave for California. Aster was devastated. She didn't want to let him go.
"I'll come back for you, Aster. And I will make you mine," were the last words Ivan said to her.
Now 8 years has passed since that day. Aster thought Ivan would never come back for her ever again. She was beginning to forget everything about him, thinking that it was all in the past. Until, Ivan turned up in her life one more time -- as a transfer student in her high school. He was gorgeous -- like Greek God gorgeous. Even more handsome than when she last saw him 8 years ago.
"I came back for you Princess.. And this time, I will make you mine, like I promised," and he smiled that same smile that made any girl's heart melt. Yet, she could feel something strange.... It felt like he was different... Like he was hiding something...
