I looked away from his deep brown eyes, they had always been my favorite thing about him, but now, I knew if I looked into them I would give in and let him do away with his own life. "You can not pick me." "I have too." My voice shook with anger, and fear, "No! I am not worth it. Kill me and do your job. Its how things are meant to be." "I can't." "Why?" Gently, his freezing cold fingers gripped my chin and turned my head back toward him, "Because I love you, and there is no point in existing without you here." ~.~ I never wanted love, especially not the impossible kind that never works out. But somehow, things I didn't want to happen always occurred. Whether it was getting picked to sing in front of class, or getting struck by lightening, I just attracted trouble, and always the worst kind. Until I met him and my life turned around. Death is meant to change your life for the worst. Well, he changed mine for the better.

Survivor

I felt an ice cold tear spill down my pink and flustered cheeks and as it did I reached up and wiped it away with the sleeve of my hoodie. I dared to glance a look to my left and saw Jamie watching me. We locked eyes, he smiled and then looked away, but I couldn't bring myself to stop staring. His deep brown eyes were a daydream and his shoulder length hair a... trap for destruction. No, I couldn't let myself go there. I was just setting myself up to be hurt... again. I've had enough of that for a lifetime.
