I scoot closer to her and place my hand in hers, lacing our fingers together. I gently brush my finger over her face, wiping away a tear. "You're gonna fall in love with me." 

"Eric. I told you I'm not ready." She shakes her head, turning away from me. I take my hand and hold her chin, turning her to face me. 

"By the end of the year, you'll be mine." I say, bringing her hand up to my face and placing a kiss on there. 

And with that, I stand up, put my jacket back on and unlock the door.
