Have you ever wondered what it was like, not loving or losing the ability to love? In this realm, in this world you live in, it is normal. An angry king, who didn't seem to appreciate the love and it's feeling, had taken away the word, the meaning, and the sense of it all. The king had a reason, but the reason was twisted when a man was killed just a few years back questioning on why love has been banned. For 50 years, at the age of 18 every boy and girl get a surgery, taking away the feeling and meaning of love from their mind; making them cured. The question that fills the air is what happens if it doesn't cure you? Meet 17-year-old Josephine Arya, after her father's mysterious death she has never been the same. Her emotions were something she held close to her heart, so closely for the fact of that were her father's wishes. She has no intention to get involved with a king or getting her love disease taken away from her. Once she realized she is invited to the royal ball for the king to find his seventh and hopefully last wife, all she can think of is running away. She hated the king for various reasons; one for trying to take her "disease" away and for an unknown reason she cannot stand the thought of him. When she has an encounter with the king will her feelings change? Will secrets unravel that Josephine has never known? You soon as well realize that life can change courses, but love will never leave the path it had started - good or bad.
