I am just a simple trader, a travelling merchant if you will, making a living travelling to cities trading the goods and scraps I have. You could say I am a poor man, but I've seen worse; yet I've seen better... I had always dreamed of being an adventurer. A brave soul, someone everyone looked to for aid. But nothing fit me, no matter what I tried. Fighter, paladin, cleric, archer... I was even requested to be a rogue, but nothing fit my spirit. That's why I am a trader... but then I met an odd group of three: a dragonborn, a small rogue, and a paladin. 

In this world of chance, adventurers put their lives at risk for treasures of all sorts.

In this world of variety, evil could be your best friend, or goodness your hero.

In this world of adventure, peril lurks around every corner no matter where you go.

In this world of fantasy, dragons will raid or persuade. 

In this unpredictable world, time travel is possible. 

In this uncontrollable world, demons will deceive and slaughter. 

In this world... the least expected occurs.

Occasionally, the outcome of epic conflict hinges on the efforts of unexpected heroes whose details are lost to time. This is one of those tales. As they stumble into a puzzle of dark magic and conspiracy, the group is suddenly critical to the survival of freedom and civilization. Isolated and ill-equipped, can they unravel the Enigma in time to prevent a dark and dystopian future? What to Expect: Multiple Main Characters: A group of imperfect non-human adventurers with various skills and backgrounds join forces for a common desirable outcome. Collaborative Problem Solving: The struggle to become greater than the sum of their original parts and find a way to succeed as significant underdogs. Exploration and Discovery: A world with history, magic, and cryptids waiting to be discovered, understood, harnessed, and overcome. Natural Progression (without the stats): MCs develop personally and professionally within the story's context, honing themselves and their craft as they go. Dungeons and Dragons flavor: A homebrew world that broadly follows the ideas and constructs of the game. More adventure than politics: Worldbuilding is minor and situationally relevant. There will be no info dumps of national history or political rivalry, except where necessary to the plot. For me, the characters and the adventure are the story. In our world, there are two forces. One of darkness, and one of light. The forces of darkness dwell underground, in large caverns and ravines. The inhabitants of these spaces are demons, who are born of fear and anger, and thirst for it. These nightmarish creatures have one goal: slaughter the human race, and take over the world. Enter the forces of light. To them, genocide isn't that cool. They're like, "How about you NOT do that, 'k?" These shining paladins of hope (most of them, anyway) are trained to defend the world from these monsters. The guardians of the light are trained to protect at the 'Гэрэл Чапел' (The Chapel of Light). Jace, who came to the school expecting such, has spent years (one and a half) preparing himself to fight. However, he soon learns that the fight runs much deeper, and the stakes are much higher than he thought.
