"That One"

For Calvin Turner, life – To put into his words – sucks. Not so much the aspect of living and more so the quality to which he’s forced to live. It’s not that he’s poor or of a broken home. No, his family has more money than it needs and his family – minus Calvin – is perhaps closer than the average household. His mother and father love both each other along with Calvin’s little sister Arianna, and would do anything to help in her booming career. Of course this story is about neither his parents nor Arianna. This story is about Calvin. It's about the fucked up life of the older brother of a super star, the reject, the loner, the pile of crap who some how passes for a human being. Sounds harsh, right? And it is – at least for him.
When Arianna’s career skyrockets and forces the whole family to move to California, Calvin loses the only friend he’s even had, Rich, and is left with nothing. If his life wasn’t meaningless before, it certainly is now.
With is life heading in a downward spiral, Calvin is more than willing fall into the new world that Natalie Fairchild, a stunning model and the daughter of a famous photographer, is willing to provide for him. Suddenly he’s not just “that one” or the kid that people only look twice at to stop and glare. Suddenly he’s someone. Suddenly he has meaning to his dull, depressing life.
But as Calvin’s learned time and time again: life always finds a way to slap him in the face when he least expects it.
