After one too many drinks, Jason finds himself wandering onto a quiet beach just before sunrise-where he sees her. A beautiful young woman, standing at the edge of the ocean, singing like the world around her doesn't exist. Captivated, Jason tries to reach her... but before he can, everything goes dark. When he wakes up in his bedroom hours later, there's no trace of her. No proof she was ever there. But he can't forget her. The sound of her voice. The way she stood in the water. The feeling that she was real. As the days pass, Jason becomes consumed by thoughts of the mysterious girl. Was she real... or just a hallucination brought on by alcohol and drugs? His friends insist she was nothing more than a drunken illusion. But Jason isn't so sure. And the more he searches for her, the more he begins to question not just that night- but his own reality. Will he find her again? Or will the truth be something far more devastating than he ever imagined? Content Warning: Depression, substance use (drugs and alcohol), suicidal thoughts, strong language, and smoking.

Kaitlyn just wanted to fit in, but Jason made everything hard. In freshman year, he poured water on her. In sophomore year, he made everyone hate her. In junior year, he realized that all he ever wanted... was her. Would Jason win her heart or would he finally realize that the only girl he ever loved would leave him just like his dad left his mom. .... "I told you to leave me alone, Jason. Why can't you take the hint?" I interrupted him. "Please Kaitlyn, one more chance. Please." "Why?" Jason looked at me. His eyes showed hurt. Good. He made me hurt for so long, now it's his turn. "You want to know the reason. I can't get you out of my head. You're like a drug I am addicted to. Kaitlyn, I'm in love with you." With that, he kissed me.
