The world has a tendency to strike against those who least deserve to be hit. Those who yearn to do good and fight for what is right always seems to have the short end of the stick. So when Priscilla figures if the gods are so cruel to her by allowing her to suffer through a poverty-stricken home, a very recent break up that resulted in the discovery of her boyfriend's slimy ways, and has to deal with an unknown sickness that won't seem to go away, then the least she could do is pretend to be okay. For the world may want to see her suffer, but her pride will not allow others to see her pain. Even if she wanted to, no matter how loud she yells, screams, or shouts, no one ever tended to her wounds anyway. So what was the point if no one ever listened. Following her recent onslaught of trials, Priscilla begins to not listen to her self when her heart begs her to be happy again. Or when her mind wills her to stop pretending to be okay.
Rye, a sickeningly handsome local firefighter, throws another punch at Priscilla when he mistakenly runs over her dear little black kitten, Neko. Swallowed in unbearable grief over her continuos losses, Rye makes it his mission to see her smile again. At any cost.

But when they reached the hospital, it was far too late to save Rini's life, she was gone leaving behind a brokenhearted mother and Serenity wanted justice for this. Serenity strikes out for revenge and files for divorce and wants to take everything they love. They had taken her daughter from her. Her death happened because her father abandoned Rini for another woman and child who wasn't even trapped or hurt. So, Serenity wants to make Amber pay for everything. Darien too would get what's coming to him. She was pissed and she had no reasons to hold back her own rampage for revenge. So, Serenity strikes out for revenge. Will she ever be able to love again?
