"What's wrong with you?" spat the dark tabby warrior. "Why are you always keeping an eye on that pesky little kittypet?" Longtail twitched his torn ear, which was from the young Firepaw when he first arrived in ThunderClan.
"Er... I just... want to discover his weaknesses," Longtail bluffed awkwardly. Darkstripe's piercing yellow eyes narrowed until they were barely slits, as if he could read Longtail's thoughts, and he snarled, "That's not it at all, is it?"
"What?! No... no! That's it! Honest!" Longtail snapped, forcing himself to look aggressive. His icy blue eyes burned like a cold fire, but behind them he knew that Darkstripe was right. He didn't watch Firepaw to 'discover his weaknesses.' It was more complicated, and if he told the dark tabby, then it would make him look weak.
He loved the young kittypet, but he hated himself for doing such a foul thing.

He had no problems following this rule until he sees the beautiful SunClan medicine cat, Poppyfur. Branchfur forgets this code, but when he learns that Poppyfur loves her Clan more than him, he does everything he can to make sure she regrets her choice.Complete
