Population Control

The last year I remember everything was normal, peaceful enough, was 2016. When 2017 started The government took us over, America was no longer a land of the free, it was barricaded in. Some people escaped to other countries, others were murdered, but a rare few learned the ways to escape the government, to escape the hate. Many of us are rogues, searching for another rogue to hold with us. I can not speak for the ones who escaped, nor for the ones that died. I can only speak for the rogues. It hasn't been peaceful since I was 19. My brothers 12 birthday, January 21, 2017 is when the world we knew ended. I tried to escape, but I couldn't make it in time. Once I found out the Government started killing off the ones who couldn't be controlled, it was too late. They had decommissioned ships closed down shipping ports. Airports and Highways. Now, we hide and run while we can. I was off in college when everything happened. My mother and brother were already in hiding, it was a miracle I even found them. My brother ended up putting a throwing knife into my calf. He thought I was one of the mutant creations ordered to kill any survivors. As far as I know, the other countries think we are all dead. Maybe the mutant creatures overthrew them too, who knows anymore. I am now 22, running from the creatures with my Brother and Mom. Our life is about survival, and I Hazel Falcon, will protect my mother Grace Fillum, and brother Axel Falcon. I swear on my life, They will live through this, even if I can't.
