My lungs were about to explode from all the running, so I closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths. How did I get into this situation? I thought. Instead of being back at BU eating dinner with my friends and preparing for tomorrow's classes, here I was, sweaty and out-of-breath, hiding behind a dumpster, trying to escape from gangsters.
BOOM! The sound of the gunshot resonated through the air, as I let silent tears stream down my face.

Ellie Verma, a sophomore in college, takes a day trip out with her friend to help her with her research paper. However, one thing leads to another, and Ellie finds herself running away from presumed gunmen.

This description is definitely not doing the story any justice, so please just give it a shot - you won't regret it!
