Foster child Jemma has always been closed off and reserved, old beyond her years and generally just angry at the world. She's not even slightly happy about moving to the tiny town of Beachview, Florida Until she meets Aaron. They immediately strike a friendship. He's the first person who seems to genuinely enjoy her grouchy and very broken inside, company. She opens up to him and he returns the favor.
For the first time Aaron finds himself focusing on something other than his part time job as a bartender and his full time job of trying to forget the past.
