I could see his eyes wide with fear and worry, and it made me cry more. But, because I was not born for running, it didn’t take too long for me to get tired. Kai quickly noticed that, the same time I saw those tears that gleamed at the corner of his eyes. “Kai! Don’t leave me! Kai!” I yelled, sobbed as my legs refused to move faster. “KAI, PLEASE! COME BACK! KAI!” For some reason, I knew that that would be the last time I would see him, so I willed myself to continue running even if it would kill me. When I saw him shifting away from the window, I almost lost hope, thinking that he listened to his parents and would really stop befriending me. But then I saw him again. He moved so fast and swift that he managed to open a side window before his parents could stop him. “Please don’t cry, princess! I will come back and find you!” His parents tried again to remove him from the window, but he almost hugged the edges for dear life just so they couldn’t. “YOU HAVE TO PROMISE YOU WILL WAIT FOR ME, RILEY!” “I promise!” A sob escaped from the back of my throat, so I gulped the huge lump that formed in it, and shouted with all the energy left in me, “I WILL WAIT FOR YOU!
