When Midnight Comes

Before the Dark Ages, in a time before the Guardians, Manny and his sister, Nyx, created the first spirit many years before. He was named Pitch Black.

Nyx was the night itself. She, and her realm of darkness, controlled the night. She stood for beauty. She stood for serenity. She stood for elegance. She stood for protection. She stood for peace. She was the one who trained Pitch in her ways, and after centuries of ruling the darkness in Nyx's stead, he slowly became corrupted. He no longer followed his mentors teachings. He slipped down a path of evil and lonliness. Forced by his growing resentment, she took his place. He grew to hate Nyx and her brother after that. He then tortured the world and became the Boogie Man. He made everyone fear the dark and the night. Saddened by his actions and what her realm soon became, Nyx and her brother created the first Guardians: Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and Sandman, but to succeed in defeating Pitch, they will need Nyx's help.
