Tomek Baranoski is a young Jew who's confused on everything involving the war. He doesn't even know the difference between the Nazis and the German Army. But as his journey continues on, he learns what the war is truly about and what he really got himself into when he faked being something OTHER THAN Jewish. (Many dates and events are normalised or swapped around in this, although they did happen before, within the time of World War Two; the Holocaust. Many dates and events are also their true times, and not set off differently.)

Prague, 1989. Right after the Velvet Revolution, new college graduate Elishka moves from rurual Maryland to the city of Prague in the hopes of being a part of history. There she meets Milo, a self-absorbed composer looking for new symphonies to play his music, his best friend Sam, a student looking for a PhD topic, and other adventure seekers hoping to make their fame and fortune in a newly opened city. Elishka lands a job in the Jewish quarter of Prague researching which (if any) Jewish families survived the Holocaust. There she confronts her family’s secrets and lies. The search takes her to Hungary and the Bohemian countryside for the priest that married her grandparents. The discovery of history can change a person, a family, a people, or a country. Elishka realizes that the truth is hers to manipulate and is forced to make a decision.
