Katya entered her bedroom and found him gazing out the window. She knew he'd heard her enter. She stalked towards him , angrily and stopped a breathing distance away from his muscular back. He turned around at her eratic breathing and stroked her cheek , calming her.

She closed her eyes,  "What are you doing here", she asked not as harshly as she'd demanded before and opened her eyes. They'd gone violet now. 

He stared , bewitched,  at her eyes and said simply,  "Your soul called out to me ."

Her eyes flashed between blue and violent as she stared out at the red moon.
