A war threatens to wipe the Light out. Rengar, an ancient mage, finds himself leading a shrinking army with a reluctant young prince for an apprentice, struggling in a war he believes already lost. When he least expects it, a seemingly useless relic makes its long-promised move, which only adds to the chaos. Very different players meet on the board. Is it for better or for worse?
