Hobart is a pugnacious, yet lovable rogue, who
manipulates his long suffering nephew into numerous tricky situations; including, hunting an ostrich with a smelly sock, visiting France in a home made balloon, exploding the farm's best cow, and shooting the world's only homing pig. Hobart is the kind of man that you like to meet, but can't wait to walk away from. His home made philosophy is: “Everything's okay, so long as there's plenty 'o beer ter be drunk.” Recently, widowed, Hobart is on the look out for someone to cook, clean and tidy up for him, a point his nephew misses until it's far too late. Hobart is a forceful character with strong views, and woe betide anyone who disagrees with him.

"In vain have I struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you." -Pride and Prejudice. -Jane Austen. Allison Waters is a girl as simple as they come, atleast that's what she believed. And to be honest she did enjoy a simple life for the past two years. All she wanted to pass her senior year in peace and be happy in life. What she wasn't expecting was to be back in town with a certain Greek God of a Devil acting more annoying than ever... Calling him tall dark and handsome would be the understatement of the century. He is the arrogant quarterback and one of the most popular guys in shcool. He is as I mention previously the reincarnation of the devil in his actions and a Greek God in the looks department, with startling blue eyes, a sinful body and gorgeous hair, who may at different times define the words Cocky and Adorable. Quite a contrast isn't it? Well that's who he is, or for that matter how we all are... a bit of both. Ashton Fobes is Alli's bestfriend, well Ex-Bestfriend, he is also her arch nemisis, her sworn enemy, but he is also the only one who can make her push her limits and challenge her in ways she never thought possible. Soon they were playing with Cupid's arrows trying to set up the unlikeliest couple imaginable, but what they seemed to have forgotten was Fate's wierd sense of humor and so it turned out while they were playing with Cupid's Arrows, he was aiming them at these two instead. Ps: I have now unpublished most of the chapters. Highest Ranking: 30, 35, 50 in teen fiction. 32, 66 in ChickLit. 46, 47, 78 in humor.

Pete from Orange

1 part Complete Mature

This satirical look at life in a particularly elite Sydney private school in the late 1990s and early 2000s is told from the perspective of an outsider, Pete, the boy from Orange, who struggles in this shocking but entertaining environment. He and his Sri Lankan friend Gautam forge a partnership to combat the snobbery and the humiliation of City Charter School. Gautam serves as a humorous antithesis to Pete's character, contrasting their lifestyles and choices. Comedy is used to convey the setbacks and some of the sweetness of the various situations in which Pete finds himself: from avoiding his over-worked single mother, to his first sexual experiences, to dealing with sexual abuse by a Charter teacher, and the shenanigans of trying to sell drugs to private school kids. Despite being the outsider, he comes to revel in the upper-class life. Does he end up as successful and as brilliant as Charter boys should?
