A little short story

I'm not that good with this so excuse me for the poor summary.

Let's see... the protagonist goes on a quest(I think I can say it like this) with a boy in order to get her guardian's life back. Along the way she has to over come difficulties and what waits her in the end is.....?

Note: Second part is coming out after "The Guardian" is finished.
Warning: This is a side story of "The Guardian" though you don't need to read "The Guardian" to understand this one since this isn't set at the same time as in the book, this is actually something apart from the main story.
