They always left in the end, gradually and subtly so he wouldn't notice until it was too late. It didn't bother him as a kid; there were others to play with. But once middle and high school started, it hurt a lot. Especially when they began to pick on him after getting what they had wanted from him. So when his parents moved to Sydney, he saw his chance. His chance to pretend that he was like any other normal kid who had to wait for the latest phone or the newest video game.
