James Howard. That's my name. It all started on Christmas eve of 2008. Jewel Maybelle, my best friend for the past 16 years of my life, but she died, and now she's just a ghost in my past, on that I can't quite recall. It's 2018, and Christmas eve. Again. Another Christmas season that I can't enjoy. The scene keeps replaying in my mind. That same fateful night that she died. When she kissed me. And then whispered goodbye. It was like she knew. like she knew that she was going to die. But this year is different. A single text from Jewel. 'I love you'. i'm guessing that it was never sent until now, a glitch in the system. But another text came too, 'Don't worry, keep pursuing your dreams, James. Don't give up. I will join you soon."
