Arabella never believed in fairytales, not in happy ever afters or Prince Charming. She was like a china doll, beautiful to look at yet too beautiful to touch, or so they thought. Kept tucked away in the Andes Mountains for the whole of her childhood she studied the years away in a Colombian Prep School. It would take the death of her estranged mother to bring the young girl back to the states. Once again thrown into a world of stuffy debutant balls and flashy west coast money Arabella struggled to make sense of a life she swore she’d never return to. Then there’s Ruben, notorious bad boy. Ruben screams trouble, from his motorcycle boots to the tattoos scrawled across his back. After a threat on his baby sister’s life Ruben turns he local gang for protection, the initiation to gang life has left him scarred both physically and mentally. Yet Arabella cant keep away. Brought together by fate the pair begins an unlikely romance destined to destroy them both. With his blackened skin Ruben will never fit into Arabella’s snow-white life. I know she can feel how fast my heart is beating. I just don't know why it's doing that. ~ Reece Carter is the bad boy of Northwood High. He smokes and he fights. He has countless tattoos covering his body. And he doesn't care about anything or anyone else. Layla Stevens is your average seventeen year-old girl, just trying to get through high school, with the friends she loves and doing the things she loves.
