In the summer of 1975 seventeen year old, Adeline Rally, the head cheerleader of Lake Charles High school in Louisiana falls madly in love with Harry Styles, the quarterback of the football team who was head over heels in love with the widowed Mr. Rally's daughter. The two connect when Styles has to have his motor replaced by the local mechanic, Mr. Rally.
The story of the 1970's when life was simple and love was easy, but was it just that easy for these two?
