King of Thieves

It's been over thirty years since the royal family of Amaranthe was assassinated, but rumors of the long dead Prince Kieran surviving the attack are still strong. With his corpse never being found it could very well be possible, and with Amaranthe losing more land and power by the day to the elven kingdom of Alveria, the current King has no choice but to find if his nephew truly survived.

Only the prince doesn't want to return. For the last three decades Prince Kieran, now Kane, has been living as the King of Thieves, and ruling a guild that spans not only the Borderlands, but the two warring countries as well. He sees no reason to go back to the life of royalty. He's hidden that life from all but a few for years, and he doesn't plan on changing that anytime soon.

But what happens when his son, Maren, finds out and decides royalty is what they are meant to be? With the secret out, and relations strained, Maren decides the only thing he can do to help is to become king himself.
