"You'll live" was always her parting words to everyone she became friends with. Whether she meant it or not, people thought she just displayed friendly arrogance, nobody knew but one day, just as she stood up to get off the bus from school, her parting words were once and finally, "You'll live". Meet Tanille, she was the popular girl in school, with long beach blond hair and striking sea blue eyes, every girl wanted to be her, and every guy wanted her. She was the most outgoing and spontaneous best friend I could ever dream of! But, being 16, in year 11 and the most popular girl in school, there were people that despised her, just for who she was. Plus, being filthy rich and dating the star football player of Southlakes High may also add to peoples jealousy.
Now, meet me, shy, petite Jade. I'm nothing special, I get good grades and have a nice, charming boyfriend too but even though I'm Tanille's best friend, I will never be seen as gorgeous or charismatic. I stutter when asked question by teachers but always get it right and I'm too scared to even make out with my boyfriend of 5 months.
Now, it's been one week exactly since last Friday and no one has heard from Tani at all.

"You dropped this." I heard a husky voice say. I turned around to look at what I dropped and realized it was my schedule. I gasped. Damn, I would have been fucked if I'd lost it. I guess I didn't put it in my bag... I looked up to thank him, but ended up not being able to find my voice. He's really attractive. Drop dead gorgeous attractive. Hot. He has brown hair that is spiked up in a messy way and shiny chocolate brown eyes that are hard not to stare at. His jawline was firm and he is extremely tall compared to my 5'3" height; he seems like he's 6'1". He looks in good shape -- the white shirt he was wearing showed off his broad muscular chest. He wore a leather-mans jacket from the school over the t-shirt, with black denim jeans, and converse. I swallowed. I snapped out of it and took the paper forcing myself to say "thanks." However, he walked away before I even finished. OK... he obviously isn't interested in the 'new girl' like all the other students are. I can't help but feel a bit disappointed. Out of all the guys that have hit on me in school today he is the only one that has caught my eye -- bad news is that he didn't even bother. "You know him? I'm surprised the cheer-bitch hasn't threatened you yet." Jessica said, her face showing shock. "Um, no I don't know him... and cheer-bitch?" I frowned confused. "She's his ex-girlfriend, but considering she has such a small brain that is a size of a peanut, she won't leave him alone. I agreed to dance with a random boy who I don't know. He takes my hand and leads me to the dance floor. We dance for a few songs and then he asks me, "Would you like to take a walk? I know the perfect place." I nod and he pulls me behind him off the dance floor. We leave the hotel and start walking down a little path. At the end of the path I notice a little fountain surrounded by candles. I wonder if he set this up. We walk over to the fountain and we sit down on the edge. "I had a wonderful time tonight," says the guy. He reaches to his face and removes his mask. I recognize him immediately. An Unexpected Moment

Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either.
