"We sit silently and watch the world around us. This has taken a lifetime to learn.
It seems only the old are able to sit next to one another and not say anything and
still feel content. The young, brash and impatient, must always break the silence.
It is a waste, for silence is pure. Silence is holy. It draws people together because
only those who are comfortable with each other can sit without speaking.
This is the great paradox."
-Nicholas Sparks
"You don't say much, do you?"
Baekhyun's question was met with a deafening silence.
"Well, that's okay. I can speak for the both of us."
Zhang Yixing hadn't spoken a word since he was ten. Byun Baekhyun hadn't stopped talking since he was two. Neither had paid much attention to the other until they were forced to work together. Baekhyun wasn't sure what it was about Yixing but he was determined to hear him speak. Yixing, however, had no intentions of letting Baekhyun get close. How could someone who said way too much not be saying much at all, while someone who never uttered a word spoke volumes? Without even realizing it, the two will help each other solve this great paradox rather they wanted to or not.
