"I'm not doing this," I whisper, crossing my arms across my chest. "I'm not going to do this. I'm not going to be a second choice."

"You are not a second choice baby. I promise you, you are not a second choiuce," He says firmly. His brown eyes that I can normally get lost in, glazed over with tears.

"Then prove it," I say, my eyes boring into his chocolate brown orbs. "Break-up with her and make me your first and only choice. Show me something, anything other than being your dirty little secret. Sneaking me in and out of your apartment isn't what I call a first choice."

"I'm sorry," He whispers, taking a step back away from me. Taking a step back and taking his love with him. "I can't do that."

Tears streaming down my cheeks, as I nod my head. I understood completely. "Then I can't do this," I tell him. My heart shattering into thouses of pieces. I should have known better.
