Clarissa Morgenstern is off on a vacation with her parents in Florida. She comes back to see Jace Herondale, her one true love, locking lips with a beautiful brunette.
Heartbroken, she leaves New York in hopes of starting a new life, and to get the memories of Jace out of her mind..... forever. With this, she goes to the Ravenwood family in the Florida Institute and starts her new life there.
Clary comes back to New York 3 years later because of a demon problem, but isn't the same innocent teen the inhabitants of the New York Institute once knew.
