Elena Crawford was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa. She met her best friend, Colby Lopez, in middle school, and by high school, they were dating.
Colby's dream was to be a wrestler, and by the time he and Elena graduated, he was signed to a promotion. He and Elena agreed to break up, knowing too well how badly long distance relationships can end. They agreed to stay in touch.
It's 2015, and Elena and Colby have not stayed in touch. Colby is now Seth Rollins, and he is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Elena went to culinary school, and she's just accepted a job with WWE's catering department.
Elena and Colby bump into each other one day backstage, but neither of them are happy to see each other. Colby blames Elena for not keeping in touch, while Elena discovers Colby's new girlfriend, former NXT Diva Zahra Schreiber. She realizes he is no longer the Colby she grew up with.
Colby has morphed into Seth Rollins, the egotistical asshole he portrays on-screen. Elena knows somewhere, deep down, the Colby she loves is still in there.
All she has to do is find him.
