Alesia, or Alexis as english people say, doesn't have the greatest life. In fact, her life down right sucks since her mother died. She was forced to live with her drunk of a father. she hated it there, but she hadn't turned 18 yet so she wasn't allowed to leave.

So, of course she doesn't expect THE hottest guy on the face of the earth to come and "save" her. Dimitri Belikov was the man she had dreamed about, literally, taking her away from her horrid life. But should she trust him and the rest of the Guardians at St. Vladimir's or should she run until her feet can't take her any further?
