Prologue
The story takes place in a upper class apartment on the North Side of Chicago. A married couple, Mr. and Mrs. Darling, have not had a happy marriage. They have been married for 6 years and they have a 5 year old daughter, named Elaine. Life is not well for the couple, with all the lies and the late hours. You will never know who to believe.
