Over the last twenty years.
A mother's love
A smile on your face
As you walked through the door,
I knew right away
You got what you wished for.
Spreading the news
Of the bundle of joy,
In a few short months
A bouncing baby boy.
Then so unexpectedly
A mother's worst nightmare,
The doctor has news
He must immediately share.
This can't be happening
Please say it isn't real,
The tests are back
And your child is ill.
It's your decision
Told you have choices,
Some say don't have it
So cruel are their voice's.
But you hold it together
Managing to stay strong,
Even though not knowing
Am I doing right or wrong.
Never once giving up
A brave and caring mother,
Giving him a chance
And your daughter a baby brother.
A mother of two you will be
At times so hard to do,
Yet so very worth it
And soon all will envy you...

Dear Fathers of the Fatherless Children
The choices we make in life can make or break us. However, some people make choices out of selfish reasons; not knowing their actions at the present time will have repercussions in the future. We are told not to worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow is not promised. That could be very well true. However, what if tomorrow is promised; how would you reexamine yesterday? What would you do differently today? How would you prepare for tomorrow? We are told to live for today, however, the question is-how many people live for "today?" If you are living for "today" at the end of the day, could you say you took care of all of your responsibilities? Each day has a purpose; each day creates a memory, and each day should be precious. Ask yourself-did you put your best foot forward? Or did you point fingers at everyone else instead of focusing on what you need to improve? The important question is: at the end of each day, are you satisfied with the decisions you've made? Dear Fathers of the Fatherless Children: Do you know your sons and daughters are AMAZING? They are full of life and they are truly a blessing. Your sons and daughters need you in their lives. Fathers of the fatherless children, your sons and daughters crave your presence and your support. They want you in their lives more than you will ever know. Fathers of the fatherless children, open your eyes and know your presence is very critical. Navigating parenthood doesn't come with an instructional manual. Now before you go saying 'Cathy, they have those you know' I will say "Sure, they have tons of books from tons of different people that think they know better than everyone else but no one really has all of the answers." Now be forwarned. I will take you on an emotional rollercoaster. When I am done with you, you won't know what you should be feeling but you will feel something. Is it anger, sadness, pity, or shame? I can't tell you how your story will end but I can tell you mine. So, if I haven't scared you off yet, buckle up, buckle in, and get ready for a bumpy ride. An Extraordinary Life
My fifty years of good or bad heartfelt life experiences written in honest, bold and direct expressions. I believe my purpose and mission are to live a passionate life and share my interesting story with the world to inspire and touch people in many ways. I took two years to write and two years to revise and edit it with the help of my third child and two professional editors. After being turned down and advised by hundred of publishers to turn my story into a novel. I kept trying but couldn't do it as it is not in me. So until last September my very special new family doctor agreed to be my first reader and gave me good comments with excitement, I decided to self publish it with the help of my youngest child. I hope to grow as a writer, and be able to share more stories with you all. During the ten years wait, I have moved out from the unsafe home and living a wonderful and happy life that I am ready to write and share my An Extraordinary Life and it continues with you all. "I'll make you a promise,mom" I say as tears roll down my cheeks "No,Jessy... You don't make promises when you're angry" she says wiping my tears "I'm not angry,mom. I'm a crappy child" I say still crying "Shh,don't say that"she says covering my mouth... I look up to the sky and I look back down. "I don't see any light in my life,it's all black... I have a black and grey life" I say pissed off Jessica is the only child of her parents .. She has an abusive dad and a caring mom. She's tough and she doesn't wanna mingle with guys because she's scared she'll get heartbroken.. But when she's completely down and she thinks she can't go on anymore,she meets the one who she will rest on for support.. Everything is taken away from her and there's a little struggle.. Jessica has seen the tough side of life and all she wants to do is make her mom happy.. Love has done nothing but hurt her. One day,she meets the one who corrects her meaning of love...
