Who's your Daddy?

"Who's your daddy?"

I say nothing. The only one who was ever named dad is now far too gone.

"I said, who's your daddy?"

Something clicked in my mind and I caught on to what he wanted me to say.

"Say it," he speaks through gritted teeth seemingly annoyed.

"You are," I say just going along so I do not anger him.

"That's right, I'm your daddy now."
