He smiled and rolled his eyes, "Thanks."
She grinned, "Yah, well soon you'll be good enough to challenge me." She baited.
He laughed, "I would challenge you now, but I'm all tuckered out."
She looked down at her intricate blade, inspecting it, "Sure...you can use that excuse." She retorted as sly smile spread across her face.
Thea and Nikandros are the newest assassin recruits in their camp and are eager to be accepted. But what happens when their first mission doesn't go the way they planned?
This story is set in Middle-Earth in a time before The Hobbit or The Lord of The Rings took place.

[A Wattpad FEATURED story!] She's been King Thranduil's close friend for a long time. But when a shocking rumor about his past comes to light, it shakes her entire world. A/N: It was before Christmas 2014 when I first watched BBC's Emma with Romola Garai (wonderful, by the way - watch it if you haven't). A few days later I went to see The Hobbit BOTFA on its opening night. It was during a car trip from a family Christmas party when I came up with idea for this story. And while it doesn't follow the Jane Austen classic completely (Thranduil is no Mr. Knightley!), it was certainly inspired by it. I enjoyed the challenge. The Odyssey of the daughter of the forest
In the dark forest of Mirkwood, shadows are growing, again and again. The leaves are becoming black, as the roots, and as the trees. Birds are not singing anymore. Flowers have disappeared. Even the sun has trouble to light the ground of the forest, once so alive and full of colours. A young elf with red hair is fighting every day for her people, who is retreating before its enemy, who is sending his troups from his black tower, in the south of Middle Earth. Orcs are coming, more and more numerous on their lands. The company of Thorin Oakenshield from the Blue Mountains will not succes to put an end to this invasion. Their fight will just postpone the deadline, by sacrifying many lives, and destroying many others. And by seperating for a while the path of two lovers, who are destined to meet again. Sixty years later, the elf joins the fellowship to save Middle Earth, once and for all, from the threat that are gliding above its people, for a long time. Agardess made the name for herself as Middle-Earth's greatest assassin. She was cold hearted and quiet, never one for saying anything. She was never one for fate and always decided for herself when it was time for change. And so she chose when she was to die. However on her march to death she finds herself trapped in a adventure for dwarves and attracting the attention of the prince. Agardess finds her fate falling from under her and in order to save her own life she pledges allegiance to the prince. She began to follow him everywhere, never speaking, just ensuring the safety of the prince. This earned her the nickname "Shadow". She felt no loyalty to the King of Mirkwood, only to the prince whom she insisted on calling my Lord. Although she no longer felt the wish to die, she found herself following the prince everywhere causing her to get brought into messes she wouldn't of been able to get into on her own. She was proud to say the Fellowship was one of them. However on the journey she finds herself becoming someone different, someone who smiles and laughs and cries.
