Dragons are real, they stand next to their companions the dragon riders.
Every spring at every village dragon eggs are cycled through every kid, and if when that special kid is holding an egg and it starts to crack that kid is officially a dragon rider.
Half of the society is dragon riders and the ones that aren't wish they were. it was a high honor to be a strong and noble dragon rider but some became mad with power and focused on destroying the world, these dragon riders were called the dragon killers because they would kill anybody's dragon if it was not on their side and let the person live the rest of their life alone.
There used to be at least one hundred villages but now only half remained because of the dragon killers.
People were dying off with no food or shelter and dragons were slowly going extinct.
Who was going to save the world.......

A Dragon Rider's Element

The Resistance
When dragons and humans coexisted together peacefully turn into chaos, two groups are formed. The Resistance and The Slayers. The slayers want dragons gone from the world while the resistance wants dragons and human to live together in peace. The slayers live on the mainland while the resistance lives on an island away from the mainland. On that island is a school called Vista Academy that trains people who appose slayers to become part of the resistance. With the new technology in the school, there are weapons that can be summoned using a cube-like object called a summoner. The weapons vary from person to person, but the use is all the same. Slayers use them to kill dragons, the resistance uses it to protect them. A Group of people recently join Vista academy in hopes to help the resistance fight off the slayers and create a world of peace once more (Some concepts were inspired by shows and movies)Complete

We all know the Government keeps secrets, and most of them have a reason to be just that, secrets. I am part of a military unit, but not your average run of the mill soldier, no. I am a trained killing machine with teeth that can rip a man in half. scales that can stop bullets in their tracks, and wings that allow me to soar over a battle field like a looming angel of death. The Dragon Huntress
Even when growing up, Elia didn't fit in with the other girls. They would dress up in dresses. She wore cloaks. They would cook and sew. She would throw knives. They liked boys. She liked bows. Each village has 4 new dragon riders, this is the way it has been for years. Male or female they are claimed and tested to find the four riders a week after. Dragon Riders
I grew up in a world where dragon riders were revered for not only their bravery and looks, but also for their intelligence. Children would spend days on end studying just in the hopes that they would get accepted to the Rider School, and those who did get accepted left their homes like kings, followed with respect and well wishes. It had been years since a dragon rider had been accepted in the Rider School from my town, which was understandable since we boasted a population of only 100 kids in the acceptable age range. Every year we were visited by the Counselor, the man who decided who would be accepted, and every year at that time our town lit up. Festivities lasted the Counselor's whole stay, with competitions to test children's intelligence, stamina, strength, and looks set up to look like games. Every year my brothers and I would be disappointed by our results, until my 15th year, when everything changed....
