All I Need

"Lets get out of here" he said to the cold room.
"Where would we go?" I whisper into the darkness, my hand pressed against the big window. New York is so beautiful...the city that never sleeps.
"Anywhere but here" I felt his arms slide around my waist just as I was beginning to fall apart.
"What's out there for us?" I ask quietly, inclining my head towards the window.
He hesitated, seeming to think over his answer. I desperately wanted him to speak, for his voice to drown out the one in my head.
"The world" he answered. "We just have to take it".
