It was the 20th century, but somewhere in the center of Europe where WW1 was affecting even this tiny remote village, Friedenburg, people still believed in supernatural powers, and not just God. After several attacks in the village, the people decided to perform a centuries-old ritual that involves virgin sacrifice to regain peace and security.
Hearing that her best friend had been chosen, Amelia volunteered to be offered in the ritual. She didn’t believe in demons or angels but soon she found herself in a demon palace, locked in a cell with the Queen of the elves.
On her journey of discovering this whole new world of demons and elves, spells and potions, she got a lot more than she bargained for. She discovered herself and her very own magical power even though she thought of herself no more than a plain, ordinary human girl. Most of all, she found love. But as the saying goes, no pain, no gain. What would she have to lose to earn the rest?
