Aileen is a 16 year old girl who has been raised by her older sister, Bailey, since she was an infant. Bailey is not the most kind hearted person in the world but she is all that Aileen has left since her parents were mysteriously killed months after she was born. Regardless, Aileen has vowed never to follow in her sister's cruel footsteps.

 But when a group of 3 by the names of Maybell, James, and Liam stop by the house and open her eyes, her temper is tested. Liam will spark her interest and she his. They will resist each other for as long as it takes but there is no telling how long that will be.

 She learns that she is much more than a normal human being in the mundane world.  She has rare powers that are unusually enhanced.

Being the most powerful Doué in Anocia with the abilities to control the elements, someone's mind and access memories, and absorb surrounding life sources is not easy when most want her either dead or married off.

With the training she will receive over the course of 4 years from a master who only trains the best and help from the group she may be able to call her family, she will be thrown into a parallel world where demons, powers, and a killer clan called The Shadows exist. She will be forced to face everything she was shielded from and embrace her new independence in her new home. 
A kingdom waits for her rule , but is it her that should claim the throne? 

However, just as she starts to figure things out, fate has another plan in mind and it will not play nice with her life or the lives of those she holds closest. Will she live happily ever after with Liam or will her powers drive her away and drive her mad? Will she allow herself to be loved after so many years of neglect?
