Korynne Magdalynn was admitted to The Lazarus Institute six years ago. The Generators took her off the streets when she was on the brink of death as a result of a critical overdose.
It all started with a dangerous boy. Daemon Lukas was her first everything at sixteen years old. Not too long after they met, Korynne's entire existence to revolve around him. Yet he didn't care about her, he never did. When Kory finally came to this conclusion, she fell off the edge, or more accurately, she dived into what would soon become her downward spiral, face first.
After her overdose, her odds for survival weren't so great. Her lifestyle was what first attracted the Institute to Korynne. This place wasn't just a mental and physical rehabilitation center, as she and her parents thought. This place was much more, and Kory had a much larger purpose than just being a patient. The Generators had big plans for her...
Kory meets a boy inside, Nash. He reminds her what it is like to feel alive again. He has something mysteriously enveloped in his dark personality, though. What wasn't he telling her?

However, not everything is as it seems, because during one of the group's failed attempts at sneaking into the headmistress's office to steal a hard drive, Nolan stumbles upon something more that might just be a lot more appealing to the man he had previously butted heads with.
