Tessa and Jem are finally together after 200 years of seeing each other once for a day. Now that Jem is no longer a Silent Brother and no longer ill from the yen fin, they can be together. Jem however gets ill a few weeks after being in New York. Tessa grows wary for Jem's health and tries to convince him to meet with Magnus. Jem refuses to do so and grows more ill by the day. Unsure if she can go threw losing Jem again Tessa calls for a friend to help her with Jem's stubbornness. Alec Lightwood must convince Jem to let Tessa try to help. Will Jem heed Alec's words and let Tessa help him or will Jem leave Tessa before they even have a chance to be married?
