Based loosely on the movie, as I have only seen the trailer and videos from the movie, not the movie itself. Here's a little bit about the movie from http://godsofyouth.com/about.html Terry King, learned how to make crystal meth in his high school science lab. Along with younger brother, Jay they set up shop in a garage and supply meth to privileged neighborhoods, schoolyards, art schools and First Nation Reserves. "It is easier for kids to get drugs than alcohol," Terry observes in the film. Art student Paul Moon has never heard of crystal meth but when he meets Jay, a charismatic drug dealer who convinces him to try it, they form an instant bond and a playful invincibility that neither could find in their banal day-to-day lives. The two boys go on a binge they call an adventure, riding every rail that seems to transcend reality. The lines between running and chasing are blurred and the characters they encounter get uglier. When the drugs run out, reality sets in and the nightmare begins. Gods of Youth is based on a series of true stories. Cast and crew studied the subject and rehearsed the stories for over a year before pre-production began. In doing so, the production team interviewed narcotics-division police officers, paramedics, councillors, and addicts and ex-addicts, many of whom are in the film itself. This unique production style gives the film an unusual sense of immediacy, or in the words of one viewer, the sense of, "Danger, like it's not acting going on...it's real, and it's messed up. I feel for those kids and I now know more about crystal meth. I had no idea..."

HOTHEAD

Growing up in a toxic environment, sixteen-year-old Jay Foster has always had psychological problems, coupled with a quick temper. But one night something happens which finally pushes him over the edge, and as a result, he leaves his house the next morning with two things: his mother's gun and a plan. Living with a neglectful and drug addicted mother wasn't easy for Jay, and it definitely didn't help that his father abandoned the family while he was still a child. He harbored a hatred toward his parents, and that hatred extended to almost everyone and everything around him, producing a very troubled and damaged young kid. As Jay enters high school, he becomes very intrigued with one of his classmates. Kind of obsessed, actually. Her name: Mikayla Keeler. Mikayla is very unique, and like Jay, she doesn't seem to fit in with her contemporaries. Instead, the two of them keep each other company, and their friendship very quickly escalates into a romantic and intimate relationship. Despite having Mikayla, Jay's troubles continue to burden him. He and Mikayla are fighting habitually, his home life is still unbearable, and his time at school is hardly any better, made worse by a bully named Calvin. Their mutual dislike of one another leads to a lot of hostility, routinely leading to Jay being sent to his school's principal. One confrontation in particular goes much too far, resulting in Jay's expulsion from school. With everything seemingly piling up, Jay is very close to his breaking point, and late one night he is blindsided by the unthinkable, pushing him much too far and effectively planting in his mind a cruel and horrific plan for revenge.
