Brooklyn Shadow is the youngest member in The Shadows, a secret organization of assassins. Most people would start training in their late 20's and isn't an official assassin until their early 30's. Brooklyn became an official assassin when she turned 20. Her mother died when she was 15 while she was on a contract.

   The person her mother had to assassinate set a trap on her and she was killed. The day Brooklyn was told about the incident, she looked into her mom's murder and the numbers just didn't add up.

   After months of research, Brooklyn accidently found her mom's secret room that had all of her things. Ever since Brooklyn found out, she had wanted to become an assassin and finish her mom's work. Shadow get put on a very special contact that doesn't even know who the target is. It's Shadow's job to ID the person and hunt them down, but when Shadow starts to learn about the life she missed when she joined the group, will she forget about the contract or try to keep her head straight and do what she is told?

Still, as I turned to sit, I couldn't help but feel as if those deep, storm blue eyes were still watching me, burning a hole in my back.
