Poor little 9 year old Iris was abandoned. Her mother, Emerson, died at the hands of her father, Jasper. Her father was a drunk, coming home late at night, drunk out of his mind with a bottle tightly clutched in his hand. Even when he was sober, he would beat Iris and her mother. One day, he came home early one night to find Emerson helping Iris pack her things to leave once and for all. He lashed out and stabbed Emerson 14 times. Iris ran to their neighbors for help, and Jasper was sentenced to life in prison. The court ordered Iris to be placed in Sunshine Orphanage. So now she sits alone on her window seat, looking out the window down at the park across the street, thinking of her mother. She thinks she'll never have a family again, that she'll never get adopted. All that changes when 5 famous boys walk through the doors of the run down Orphanage, looking for a little girl to add to their family.
