Chloe is smart. Genius actually. Unfortunately, her genius has always been overlooked. No one cared that she could read 10 years above her age when she was six, or that at the age ten she won her elementary school science fair by creating a fully functional rocket equipped with a homemade camera and candy dispenser, or that she's been sitting in on her fathers college lectures since she was 11. No one cared that when she was 12 she had already taken SAT's ACT's and several AP exams and got a perfect score on each one. No one wanted to be friends with the genius homeschooled kid in high school. No one cared that she was more than just a brain. That she had feelings to. That it hurt when people called her names in the cafeteria so she just ate her PB&J in the bathroom to escape their ridicule. That she didn't like it when people pushed her around in the halls when she was on her way to class. No one bothered to help he up when she fell. She was alone, and eventually, it drove her insane.

Omfg I wrote this when I was like 15 (hence the limited awareness of life after highschool in the summary, and the overplayed teenage angst) it is unfinished and will remain that way. I dont even like thrillers what in the world was I thinking? Godspeed if you've somehow found this in the year of our lord 2023. Don't read this; it's shit.

Working against them is a notorious thief who has met people from around the world, but who has never once encountered a woman like Melody Scott. When the sweet innocence of the Scott family clashes against criminal forces more dangerous than they ever imagined, Melody is all too aware that a mom's got to do what a mom's got to do to protect her family.
