Two opposite people, two different appearances, one job. Tying together the two very different lives of Ben Wyatt (Parks and Recreation) and Ted Hendricks (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty) (both depicted by Adam Scott).
So here's the sitch:
Two years ago: I watched 2 movies that then became my two favorite movies of all time: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and Leap Year
Half a year ago: I start watching Parks and Rec, my driving force at this point.
An embarrassingly long amount of time later: I am sick and rewatch my two favorite movies (I'm busy and don't have much time to do so otherwise). Realization: Adam Scott is in both of them. Who else is played by Adam Scott? Ben Wyatt. (how I did not connect these dots sooner still befuddles me to this day)
A month ago (ish?): I rewatch the Secret Life of Walter Mitty, again. I realize that Ted Hendricks and Ben Wyatt pretty much have the same job. Coincidence? I think not!
Today: I start writing out a fanfiction attempting to change the best character on TV (Ben Wyatt: loving adorable nerd husband who is sweet, caring....) to the worst (Ted Hendricks, hard-ass, bully, to quote the movie, "a dick".)
I would recommend watching The Secret Life of Walter Mitty before this because, until the very end, I will not include Walter's side of the story. MY GOAL IS NOT TO GET YOU TO HATE BEN. My goal is to show the other side of Ted, and connect two very different personalities.

"This relationship has everything..." Stefon is finally coming out to his family, officially this time. He has sat down every important person in his life to give them the news. His brother and cousin pretty much have it all figured out, but his parents and his aunt and uncle are firm on their belief that he's just been going through a phase. As he tries to get through his anxiety to get them to meet his boyfriend, things start going south. Never has he been shy about his sexuality, but how is he supposed to convince his family it isn't a phase if he can't even get them to talk to him properly? The characters in this story are based loosely on Bobby Moynihan's theory about the Weekend Update family, as well as throwing other things around that make sense revolving that. Incredible Spider
My first hand at actually trying to write a Spiderman Fanfiction that actually uses Peter Parker as Spiderman. Yay! Also, a crossover of Spiderman (A character drawn to my childhood) and the Incredibles (Another franchise close to my childhood) I'll be using the Peter from the Insomniac Game, but going to toy with the time between the initial bite and the 8 year time gap. Some Things To Establish First: 1. The First suit I'll start is the tech suit from the start of the game. I'm making the assumption that Peter sort of thought just that far ahead in his progress of a superhero. 2. I'm placing this in Year 2 of the 8 year gap. That way I have a nice 17 year old Peter Parker to work with and he's still relatively new to being Spider-Man but he's still used to his powers and he's gotten the hang of the routine of being Spider-Man. 3. I am of course going to have Peter meet with Edna. 4. For the sake of simplicity, I'll Spider-Man in the time period the Incredibles are set in. (Born in 1946 and goes on to 1963 as a 17 year old) 5. This will be a version of the Incredibles where Spider-Man is there. He was affected by the HRA and is discouraged to have to give it up. 6. Peter lives in Metroville with Aunt May. He had to move there from New Urbam (stand in for New York) after Ben died. 7. This is Marisa Tomei Aunt May. Cool? Cool. 😎 With all that said and done, enjoy.Complete
